Digital and Social Media

Trisha’s experience in leading the development of digital communications for the unitary council means she is well placed to advise on the most effective way to use social and digital media channels.

She created an online newsroom for Cornwall Council and expanded the use of video and film to promote services and deliver corporate communications.  Trisha introduced the use of social media into crisis communications for the authority during the 2010 floods in Mid Cornwall, as well as pioneering the development of “virtual” flood packs on the Council’s website.

This led to Trisha receiving the CIPR Award for Crisis Communications in 2011, with the judges praising her communications strategy as a “blueprint for modern crisis response.”
